Frank S. Butler Dies

Frank S. Butler, 76, a former resident of near Carlyle and Huey, died at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon at his home north of Keyesport. He had been ill seven years. Funderal services were held Saturday afternoon in the Keyesport Baptist church. Rev. Dallas Newby was assisted by Rev. W. E. Booth of Centralia. Burial was in the McKendree Chapel cemetery.

Mr. Butler, son of John and Mary Butler, was born June 9, 1867, in Macoupin county. For several years he resided on a farm northeast of Carlyle. He was united in marriage to Miss Maude O. Kesner, Sept. 14, 1904. They started housekeeping in the Huey community, and several years later removed to the vicinity of Keyesport. He was the last of a family of 11 children.

Those surviving, besides Mrs. Butler, are two sons, Dorris and Archie at home, and a daughter, Mrs. Leona Troubaugh, of East Peoria, Ill., also has a grandson, several nieces and nephews.
